About KATE
Kate is a natural genuine woman that is passionate and optimistic about life. I have been extremely fortunate to find my soon-to-be wife with such characteristics, and on top, she is physically beautiful, funny, intelligent and having interests that are exact same or very similar to mine. We both enjoy having a cup of coffee together while listening to live music at our local coffeehouse. We both enjoy reading a good story or plain news. We both care about eating healthy and exercise by going hiking or just walking around the neighborhood. We take pleasure in activities such as going to music concerts and visiting museums and galleries. In short, she is simple and authentic at heart and truly grateful to have her in my life. Cheers to our future married life!
About JOSE
Jose is patient and has great sense of humor. He likes holding my hand when we are walking. It makes me feel loved when he reaches for my hand. I can see the love in his eyes. He stands by me when I am being a brat, and not let me be a lower version of myself. I love him also because he wants me to have my dreams, supports me in many ways and says yes in so many of my ideas. It makes me feel we are on the same mission and we are connected and understand each other well.
I could go on and on because I do love him, for all of these things and more. I am so happy that we are together.
OUR RELATIONSHIP
In 2013, Kate had a trip to Seattle right after a visit to extended family that live in Maryland and Philadelphia. Met for the first time in Seattle and had a great time together, visiting so many places in and around the city. But Kate had to leave USA and return back to China because of work. During her days in China, the relationship continued by talking on the phone, and by using other social media. After so much long distance conversation, one day he asked" would you like to come back to Seattle and have a serious relationship?" Kate didn't answer him because she never dated a foreigner before and she didn't think the relationship could work out. However, he asked again and indeed both committed to get together again. 4 months later, Kate decided to leave China for Seattle, this time for good. Many of her friends did not totally agree with such big decision but Kate trusted her feelings. It's bee almost 2 years together since coming back. It has been great times since then, and many changes too. Moved from rented apartment to owned house. More importantly, soon getting married!

He did surprise me. It was a normal "Seattle" day. We got up in a rainy morning and went walking to Fremont's farmers market, which was a few blocks from our cozy apartment in Wallingford, Seattle. On the way back, he suggested to stopped by Gasworks park and there, on the top of the hill, he took out the ring and asked me," Would you be my wife?" I was shocked because I did make up and the rain made me wet. I don't think I was looking particularly great. Also surprised because I thought the engagements happen in nice restaurant, and then he would put ring in a cake and must then present flowers, which i learnt from movies. However, I think my engagement was romantic and uniquely Seattle style. The rain made everything quiet and only could hear his words. Absolutely, I said yes!
